Art Guide to Asia: Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Viet Nam

In conjunction with the Mekong-Japan Exchange Year 2009, the Japan Foundation has compiled a guidebook on the arts activities in the Mekong region, Art Guide to Asia: Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Viet Nam.

This is a sequel to the guidebooks published by the Japan Foundation in 2001 and 2005, which covered other countries/regions in Asia, mainly focusing on alternative art spaces. In this third edition, JF focuses on the Mekong region, where contemporary and individual expressions have recently started to emerge with a greater force. They hope that the readers will find this publication useful and handy for finding out more about what is happening in this region, which is expected to grow in the near future.
