UK | Exhibition for artists in the global ethnic majority 2025

New Art Exchange (NAE) looking for artists, curators, designers, writers, architects, activists and creatives working across any medium, who are pushing boundaries of contemporary visual art and exploring powerful ideas that resonate with today’s world for EXHIBIT, NAE’s flagship exhibition platform held in Nottingham, UK.

Artists will benefit from regular one-to-one support and ongoing communication with NAE staff, along with the opportunity to engage directly with their diverse audiences and communities through dynamic public events and participatory activities, as part of the wider programme at NAE.

Any contemporary visual practice is welcome, including (but not limited to) painting, sculpture, installation, digital media, sound, design, and socially engaged practices.

Eligibility 

Reflecting New Art Exchange’s commitment to addressing structural inequalities in the arts, this opportunity is open exclusively to artists and creative practitioners who identify as being from the Global Ethnic Majority, whether based in the UK or internationally.

Support

Successful projects will be supported by a total budget of 25,000 GBP to deliver their exhibition at New Art Exchange. This budget covers all associated costs, including:

  • Artist’s fee
  • Material
  • Equipment
  • Installation
  • Marketing
  • Travel
  • Visas
  • Production of new work
