The Midpoint Script Development Workshop will be held this year at Trenciaske Teplice, Slovakia from 20 June - 29 August 2014. Applications are still being considered until 17 March to participate in this exciting opportunity.

Midpoint Script Development Workshop is for graduating students, recent graduates and young film professionals. Created to provide support to writers, producers and directors to enable them to constructively participate in the development process, where their dramaturgical skills are often lacking, Midpoint helps emerging film professionals to integrate into the marketplace by facilitating experience in international collaboration and networking opportunities.

The three-month training programme includes two residential workshops and two on-line sessions. After finishing Workshop 2, all the projects will be presented to a pitching panel – members of international partner programmes and film institutions, producers and other film professionals – thus increasing the chances for their further development and production.

Workshops include international team work on projects, with each team lead by a professional script doctor, as well as in-depth meetings with guest tutors, and inspiring master classes by renowned filmmakers and other film professionals.

Fees: participants from partner schools €100 for both workshops, for others €240 for both workshops. Includes accommodation, board and tuition materials at both workshops, travel costs are not included, however travel scholarships are available.
