Korea | Façade Video for G.MAP and Seoul Metropolitan Government

The Gwangju Media Art Platform (G.MAP) and Seoul Metropolitan Government are calling for applications from local and international artists to propose audiovisual video works on the theme of “Nam June Paik: Post-Fluxus Sense”. 

This call seeks to foster creative exchange within UNESCO Creative Cities and to discover and support interdisciplinary media art creators. It is centered around the theme: "Nam June Paik: Post-Fluxus Sense" in order to uphold the essence of the arts of Nam June Paik and Fluxus. Entrants are prompted to envision prospective portrayals of Nam June Paik's artistic prowess in conjunction with his contemporaneous artistic contributions or to perpetuate the enduring spirit of Fluxus across epochs.

The 4 selected artworks will be concurrently showcased at the Gwanghwamun Square Media Canvas (Seoul) and the G.MAP Media Facade Wall (Gwangju). The chosen participants will be featured artists in the upcoming "Nam June Paik: Post-Fluxus Sense International Media Facade Exhibition", 24 November 2023 – 31 March 2024.

Successful artists (or teams) will be given a fee of 20 million KRW (inclusive of all associated costs).
