Kiyosato Young Portfolio 2016 call for entries

The Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts (K*MoPA) in Japan invites all young photographers to send us their finest images for the Kiyosato Young Portfolio 2016. Works by photographers under 35 years will be selected and purchased to become part of the museum's permanent collection.

Applicants must have been born after January 1, 1981 (i.e., must not be above 35 years of age); applications from photographers and artists who work in the medium of photography, regardless of gender, nationality or professional or amateur status, are welcome.

Works have been acquired from around the world since 1995 - search database

This invitation is not a call to a contest where pieces are judged, then ranked. Rather, it is the Museum's wish to collect works by young and emerging photographers for its permanent collection.

We believe that there is no clearer signal or a more direct means of support for the young photographer than the purchase of their work for a permanent museum collection. This is why the Museum acquires work by those promise to be our future photographic visionaries. The rules and conditions are listed below.

We look forward to receiving unique images showcasing the creativity of younger artists in the field of photography.
