The forthcoming 1st Guwahati Asian Film Festival, from 7–9 February 2025 in Guwahati, India, is calling for films from filmmakers from across Asia, as well as non-Asian filmmakers whose works highlight Asian culture. 

The Guwahati Asian Film Festival is an annual event dedicated to celebrating and showcasing the diverse cinematic traditions of Asia. The festival promises to celebrate the diversity of Asian cinema, featuring a dynamic selection of films that showcase unique cultural narratives and innovative storytelling, fostering cross-cultural dialogue and appreciation among filmmakers and audiences.

There are two categories: Asian Cinema and Indian Showcase. For non-Asian filmmakers, at least one producer must be of Asian origin. Films with a duration of more than 60 minutes are eligible for participation. Entries are accepted in all Asian languages and must include English subtitles.

All films selected in the Asian and Indian Showcase categories will receive an official selection laurel and a certificate.
