A call for entries is announced for the 7th International Artist’s Book Triennial Vilnius 2015. Promoting artist's books from around the world, the Triennal opens in Lithuania and will travel to Germany, Australia, France, Latvia and Italy in 2015-16.

Exhibition theme: “Error” {mistake}


The “7th International Artist’s Book Triennial Vilnius 2015″ is organized in order to promote artist’s books all over the world and to make an exchanges between artists. With the great support of the Artists we hope to keep the highest artistic level of the 7th Artist’s Book Triennial as it was in previous our Triennials. With your participation we hope to make a remarkable Exhibition of artist’s books, and to open a window for people to discover a wonderful world of artist’s books.

We kindly invite all artists to participate in the “7th International Artist’s Book Triennial Vilnius 2015″.

Circle “Bokartas” in cooperation with the “Artist’s Book Creators Community” organize the “7th International Artist’s Book Triennial Vilnius 2015″. We are non-profit organization holding the International Artist’s Book Exhibitions for the last 19 years. Since 1994 twelve artists books exhibitions and six International Artist‘s Book Triennials were organized where 715 artists from 63 countries were selected for the Triennials by the jury. Triennials took place not only in Lithuania, but also in Salzburg (Austria), Lille (France), Frankfurt on Main, Leipzig, Bentlage (Germany), Halmstad (Sweden), Silkeborg (Denmark), Venice (Italy) and Seoul (South Korea).

The purpose of the “7th International Artist’s Book Triennial Vilnius 2015″ is to incite artists to create conceptual works which correspond to the offered theme. We want to provoke artists to think and to create an artist’s books on this strange theme of the 7th Triennial – “Error”. Errors {mistakes} plays important role not only in our life, but also in creative process. Many scientific discoveries have been made by mistake, by error. The same are in art. We are looking for artist’s books made with errors, artist’s books with typographical, printing or binding errors. Artist’s books created about “errors” in our life and art, errors in science and engineering, errors in languages or errors on the road, and etc.
