UK | Tagore Festival
A week long festival at Dartington, Devon celebrates the 150th anniversary
of the birth of the visionary poet Rabindranath Tagore, the first Asian to receive the Nobel Prize
, in 1913, for his book of poems Gitanjali.
The Tagore Festival
will be a feast for heart and mind, featuring inspirational speakers, musical delights and many creative and engaging moments.
A people's festival, as Tagore was a people's poet, it will be a rich week of poetry, dance, music, film, workshops, networking, wonderful food and craft stalls. A celebration of Indo-British relationships, exploring how we have enriched each other's cultures in the arts, sciences and enterprise, it is also a great opportunity to explore the relevance of Tagore's vision
in the 21st century.
