TAMA'11 Solidarity in PErformAnCE presents the 8th Tupada International Visual Performance Art Festival with artists from Estonia, Belgium, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Denmark and beyond. Tupada Action and Media Art presents The 8th Tupada International Visual Performance Art Festival from November 3 to 11, 2011. The event, also called TAMA’11: Solidarity in PErformAnCE, serves as the culmination of a year-long succession of activities highlighted by disKURSO, art talks, workshops and performances in various universities in Metro Manila; TAMA inTransit, an touring exhibition of performance documentation; and SA[lu]BONG, held last August 21 in Rizal Park, which served as a sneak peek into the work of local artists participating in this year’s festival. Dwelling on the themes of solidarity and peace, TAMA’11 invites artists to unite and respond to the call of the times, aspire for change and cultural development with the creation of meaningful visual performances and the continuous art education of the public.
