MuseumNext Dublin 2016

MuseumNext is a major conference on the future of museums, which since 2009 has acted as a platform for showcasing best practice today to shine a light on the museum of tomorrow. MuseumNext Dublin, due to be held at several venues on 18-20 April, will be the 8th MuseumNext European conference and will feature a day of activity with tours, workshops, presentations and exhibitions followed by two days of curated conference sessions at the Mansion House in the city centre.

The programme of the event includes over 60 speakers, and sessions held at the National Gallery of Ireland, Science Gallery Dublin, Royal Society of Antiquaries Ireland and the Irish Museum of Modern Art.

Programme sessions address a wide range of themes, including audience development, museum board governance and succession planning, MOOCs, cross-cultural professional development, inclusive programming and the relation between museums and communities, among others.
