'Ideas and Realities: Creative Writing in Asia Today' is  Asia Pacific Writers & Translators (APWT) ninth annual international gathering, taking place in Guangzhou 24-26 November, with side events afterwards in Hong Kong and Macau. The main two-day conference, on Friday 25th and Saturday 26 November, is hosted this year by Sun Yat-sen University Center for English-language Creative Writing, School of Foreign Languages, Guangzhou. This year's conference again features a great mix of events, this time offering academic panels in addition to the general panels. We also offer five outstanding workshops, many opportunities for readings, and several book launches. It's not too late to register. We welcome all authors and emerging writers, including screenwriters and literary  translators. Also welcome are literary agents, publishers, teachers of creative writing and anyone interest in contemporary writing from the Asia-Pacific region.
