Festival Theme - Rasa: Beyond Bodies
RASA in bahasa Indonesia is a multifaceted word which means feeling, sensing, tasting. FEELING is a definite thing that we have, which includes empathy, sympathy, tolerance, mutual acceptance and understanding between human beings, between humans and the universe and the Creator. TASTE may not be expressed in words, instead it can be shown through gestures that go beyond the physical body in an effort to comprehend the current state of the world. RASA transcends beyond our physical bodies.
This theme is a response to our current socio-political reality, and the cultural situation that we are experiencing together in the national and global scope, especially in the post-pandemic situation.
