A New Look and Website for ASEMUS

ASEMUS is delighted to reveal its new logo. The network celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2010 and to take into account its new role in the next decade, it was thought timely to change the logo. The new logo derives its inspiration from various sources – the fluidity of flags in motion, the structure of the DNA double helix and flames, all illustrative of cultural interactions.

[caption id="attachment_443" align="alignleft" width="127" caption="Former logo"][/caption] While we will miss the first ASEMUS logo designed by the late Father Gabriel Casals, a former ASEMUS Executive Committee Member from the Philippines, the new logo signals the renewed vigour which ASEMUS plans to engage its members in collaborative projects and the sharing of information. The new logo is launched together with the revamped ASEMUS website. This new website has been redesigned to increase visibility for members and to make it more dynamic as a platform for ‘virtual’ interactions between members. All member museums/ institutions are invited to check on their entries on the member museum pages to ensure that the information is updated. Members are also invited to share news and events related to ASEMUS or various projects on Asia collections and research including the call for conference papers to the ASEMUS Secretariat, for consideration.
