2023 Media Partnerships Announced!
culture360.ASEF.org is pleased to announce this year's arts events selected through the open call for proposals for Media Partnerships, launched in January 2023. Seven events will take place in 2023 in Bangladesh, Denmark, Indonesia, Italy, Thailand, United Kingdom and Viet Nam, and cover a broad range of arts and transdisciplinary topics. As media partner, ASEF culture360 will promote the selected events with articles, interviews and event posts on its website, social media channels and monthly newsletter.
1. Bangkok International Performing Arts Meeting 2023
Where: Bangkok, Thailand
When: 22-26 March 2023
A performing arts platform focused on bringing together artists, producers, curators and art academics from Southeast Asia and connecting the region to the performing arts communities around the world.
2. ECO Film Lab: An International Film Residency
Where: Tanguar Haor, Sunamganj, Bangladesh
When: March-April 2023
A 15-day film residency programme designed to create awareness about sustainable production, green filming, and climate effects.
3. Art Jakarta 2023
Where: Jakarta, Indonesia
When: 25-27 August 2023
A leading contemporary art fair in Southeast Asia, introducing the best works by Indonesian artists to an international audience.
4. Oriente Occidente Dance Festival
Where: Rovereto, Italy
When: 3-10 September 2023
A 6-day event that includes mentoring workshop, masterclass, film screenings and special talks on film industry trends for documentary filmmakers.
5. Mind the Gap: Designing residencies for everyone, 2023 Res Artis conference
Where: London, United Kingdom and online
When: 6-9 September 2023
Taking place in London with live-streamed sessions, the conference will focus on the future of impactful residency opportunities, finding solutions to shared obstacles faced globally by residency providers and the artists they host.
6. Stateless Mind Calling it Home
Where: Copenhagen, Denmark
When: 23-30 October 2023
A performance art festival, including talks, lectures, seminars and workshops, to raise public awareness about the work of diaspora artists and the global movements of migration.
7. THE ALTERNATIVE MOBILITY – Month of Art Practice 2023
Where: Hanoi, Viet Nam and online
When: October-December 2023
Dedicated to raising public awareness and appreciation of contemporary art in Viet Nam, this is an annual project organised by Heritage space, based in a format of residency programme and small-scale exhibition. It aims to create a platform for artistic practices and experimentation, upon the cooperation and exchange of international and Vietnamese artists.
