EXPONATEC COLOGNE 2019

The ninth edition of EXPONATEC COLOGNE - International Trade Fair for Museums, Conservation and Cultural Heritage, will take place in Cologne, Germany, on 20-22 November. The questions and challenges are more than complex when the future of cultural assets, museums and monuments, collections and exhibits is involved. The ninth EXPONATEC COLOGNE offers the best prerequisites for keeping up to date with current and continuing developments of concepts and technologies. In all important segments, providers from Germany and abroad will present innovations and new approaches that contribute to answering the most varied questions. EXPONATEC COLOGNE is also flanked by a technically ambitious event and congress programme, in which experts from research and teaching, as well as from the culture business are expected. In particular, highlights of the event porgramme include the following activities:

• Deutsche Museumskongress – in cooperation with the Kunsthandel publishing house, Neu-Isenburg
• Talks under the title "Stations of art. Behind the museum curtain", organised by the association of restorers (VDR), the German museum association (DBM) and the Network of European Museum Organisations (NEMO).
• Seminar "Woe betide the heirs. Passing on responsibility, creating identity" – organised by Europa Nostra.
• "The Best in Heritage and Projects of Influence", special event and presentation

As a combination of trade fair and congress, EXPONATEC COLOGNE provides exhibitors and visitors valuable impulses for their work. In four exhibition areas, institutions and companies from all relevant segments of the culture market present new products, solutions and concepts revolving around exhibiting, restoration and cultural heritage. The four exhibition areas are cultural heritage; preventive conservation; museum; and staging through video, interactive media and scenography. EXPONATEC COLOGNE takes place every second year. The 8th edition, held in 2017, gathered 174 companies, 117 from Germany and 57 from abroad, as well as 4400 visitors.
