Yamagata Documentary Film Library was established to collect and preserve films and VHS entered for the Yamagata International Documentary Festival. The library has a full complement of facilities including a viewing room, individual video booths and related printed materials. In addition, it holds screenings twice each month (the second and fourth Friday), mainly showing documentary films, pre-war Japanese films and experimental films.
