The Wanda Foundation

 

The Wanda Foundation leverages the power of creativity, storytelling, and artistic expression to ignite conversations, foster empathy, drive action, and catalyse the transition towards a more sustainable and harmonious relationship between humanity and the natural world.

Now based in Southland and Otago, the foundation was formed to extend the work of performing artist and environmental ambassador, Anna van Riel, using art alongside science by providing resources, tools, and networks, and by finding ways to connect people so they have a lived experience of how they can make a change in their environment. 

The foundation supports artists through the grant process, provides access to a broader pool of funders, and helps artists realise their creative visions. It also offers tools and tips to track environmental impact and plan environmental projects.
