TAHI – New Zealand Festival of Solo Performance

TAHI – New Zealand Festival of Solo Performance is an annual festival that gathers soloists from around the nation and beyond to present work, collaborate, and make connections across the industry. Taking place in Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington), the festival provides opportunities for practitioners to develop new work, share practice, and network through an integrated programme of performance, workshops, and forums.

Since its inception, TAHI Festival has considered a Te Ao Māori (a Māori world-view) insight in its approach, in addition to minimising its impact on the environment and maximising the effective use of its resources. Sustainability policy guidelines are presented to artists when they are programmed for the festival, providing information to support them in thinking about environmental sustainability from the point of creation.

TAHI Festival is committed to improving and promoting sustainable practices in theatre events and festivals, and hopes to become a leader in environmental sustainability in the arts.
