SOUNZ's champions New Zealand music by collecting and curating resources and connecting them with audiences. Their collection includes a diverse range of quality New Zealand music resources available for loan, hire and sale through an online catalogue.

They are the only arts and music organisation of its kind working in the digital space to create and make available on platforms the sounds, music and stories about the music of Aotearoa New Zealand. They have been operating as a Wellington based, national organisation since 1991. They rely on the generous funding of government, industry organisations, trusts and foundations to make their work possible.
