Sipar Cambodia

Sipar Cambodia aims to promote education and the development of reading habits in Cambodia by allowing everyone to have access to books and by fighting against illiteracy.

Sipar Cambodia is a French NGO created in 1982 to welcome Cambodian refugees in France. Sipar’s first actions in the field was to teach French in Thailand refugee camps and training in sites on the Khmer-Thai border. Arriving in Cambodia in 1992, Sipar has been actively working to fight illiteracy by promoting reading, publishing books, and making them accessible to the underprivileged population. They embrace 3 core values: innovation, transfer of knowledge, and sustainability. Sipar’s works have received remarkable appreciation from government institutions, NGOS, and the public.
