SAE Institute Auckland

SAE Institute was established in 1976 as the world's first practical audio engineering school to address a growing demand for skilled audio engineers. The mission of our first campus was to provide aspiring audio engineers with the best practical and hands-on education possible, a creed we have upheld to this day. Whilst audio engineering remains a very important part of SAE's objective, times have changed and SAE has now expanded its curriculums to include other creative media studies.

SAE has since grown to become a successful global network of campuses offering programs in audio engineering, digital film making, multimedia and animation, all of which are delivered using SAE's proven teaching method that combines sound theoretical knowledge with invaluable hands-on training.

SAE Institute Auckland is the perfect learning environment and is approved as a NZQA Degree Granting Institution with an accredited Bachelor of Recording Arts Degree.

Situated on the picturesque North Island, Auckland is New Zealand's largest city, offering boundless opportunity for work within the creative media industries. The campus is positioned right in Parnell, a cultural hub synonymous with designer fashion and gourmet food outlets. Surrounded by breath-taking landscape, the vibrant city is only a short drive from some of New Zealand's most beautiful beaches. There is also chance to take time out from study, venture out of Auckland, and explore some of the iconic locations used in the Lord of the Rings film trilogy.
