Romanian National Section of the International Society for Contemporary Music (SNR-SIMC)

The Romanian National Section of the International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM-Romanian Section) is a professional organization formed by composers and musicologists members of the Union of Romanian Composers and Musicologists (UCMR) which has as its main role to promote the contemporary music in our country and abroad. It also includes as honorary members performers and organizers of the Romanian musical life, distinguished in their activity through the performance of the new music and through special initiatives for its promotion.

The activity of the ISCM-Romanian Section is in accordance with the Statute of the International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM), society whose member it is.

Permanent members of ISCM-Romanian Section can be only those composers and musicologists who are also permanent members of UCMR, distinguished in their creation and musicological activity through the performance of the new music in the country and abroad.
