Envirohub Bay of Plenty

Envirohub Bay of Plenty is part of a network of environmental hubs across Aotearoa New Zealand. Based in Tauranga (Bay of Plenty), they act as a conduit, connecting people living in harmony with the environment and those seeking a deeper environmental connection.

Their primary focus is in supporting sustainable living in the community through collaborations with environmental groups. They often use art to communicate environmental messages, targeting a range of environmental issues, such as the reuse of materials.

Their project, Precious Plastic BOP, works on circular solutions for plastic resources that would otherwise go to landfill. Re:Stitched Runway is an upcycled fashion show intended to inspire a change towards more eco-conscious fashion. Members of the public join the competition, upcycling clothing destined for landfill into ready-to-wear outfits for the runway.
