The Barcelona -Catalunya Film Commission (BCFC) aims to promote the audiovisual industry by assisting in the co-ordination of film shootings in the city of Barcelona and throughout the Catalan region. It offers production advice and acts an intermediary between production companies and the different departments of public administration.

The BCFC helps in processing shooting permits and request for exemption and/or reduction of production fees. It also co-ordinates meetings in preparation for filming in Barcelona and its website contains a comprehensive database of companies, audiovisual professionals and filming locations in the Catalan region.
