Since 1997, the Festival also organise the International Project Competition for animated short and feature films and TV productions. This event has made possible for a growing number of young writers and filmmakers to make their projects known to industry professionals attending the International Animated Film Festival and Market.

It has become a reference and a great boost for writers of the selected and rewarded projects looking for financial sponsors and production deals.

The International Project Competition is organized as part of the Creative Focus and Animation Job Fair, which gives many opportunities to meet and contact producers and distributors.
