Ireland | International Curator Residency Award 2026

The Fire Station Artists’ Studios (FSAS) International Curator Residencies programme is calling for applications from contemporary international curators for 3- to 4-week residencies in Dublin, Ireland, in 2026.

Through these residencies, FSAS provides the armature to build links/fosters collaborations between international artists, curators, art institutions and their Irish counterparts.

As part of their residency, International Curators are asked to:

 – give a short public talk in FSAS

 – take part in studio visits with FSAS artists and attend FSAS events coinciding with their stay

 – to write a brief report

 – to bring previous publications or exhibition ephemera relating to their recent work, and where possible, recommend active reading material of current interest for the FSAS library

International curators create their own timetable of studio visits with FSAS resident artists and other cultural practitioners to suit their own work patterns, which can be done in advance. Where needed or desired, FSAS can help, such as in introductions to artists, art institutions, curators, galleries in Dublin city and nationwide.

Who is the residency for?

 – Curators who are working independently or with institutions

 – Curators with a strong track record and over five years of experience in the field and/or working towards a significant project in relation to the residency

 – Curators developing specific curatorial research/practice/relationships in Dublin/Ireland

Support includes free accommodation and a stipend of 300 EUR.

Deadline: 12 November 2025
