Berlin | Nipkow Programm 2026 fellowship to develop film projects
Media professionals from all over the world, such as writers, directors, producers and animators, can submit their current feature film projects for the Nipkow Programm in Berlin, Germany. The selected participants must complete their fellowship between 1 June and 30 November 2026.
The Nipkow Programm is a unique fellowship programme designed for international film and media professionals to develop and refine projects in Berlin through an ‘à-la-carte’ curriculum tailored to meet their individual needs and aspirations. In addition to one-to-one mentoring, fellows attend bespoke training seminars on various aspects of packaging, promotion, sales and new technologies.
Whether they are working on a feature film, documentary, series, animation or trans-media project, the emphasis of the programme is on project development, with the ultimate aim of initiating international co-productions and promoting their worldwide distribution.
Eligibility
- A professional writer, director, producer or animator (no students).
- Have completed a first feature length film (more than 70min.) either fiction, documentary, cross media or series.
- The project is a new feature-length project destined for theatrical release (fiction, documentary, animation).
- Minimum a first draft of the script must be available in English, or a developed treatment for documentary projects.
- A producer is already attached to the project.
Support
Selected participants are awarded a monthly grant of 1,500 EUR.
