AI and the future of culture in East and Southeast Asia

The TechCul Dialogues is a new UNESCO regional initiative designed to foster dialogue, collaboration and policy innovation on artificial intelligence (AI) and culture in East and Southeast Asia. Through a monthly webinar series covering 10 thematic areas, the initiative will facilitate multi-stakeholder exchange, showcase regional practices, and generate policy-relevant knowledge at the intersection of AI and culture.

UNESCO invites practitioners, researchers, policymakers, cultural institutions, creative professionals, civil society organisations and private sector partners working in or on East and Southeast Asia to submit cases for presentation at one of the thematic webinars.

The series will run over 10 months, with each monthly session dedicated to one thematic area. Selected submissions may be invited to present at a webinar and/or to be documented as a case study on a UNESCO platform.

Submissions are invited under any of the following 10 themes:

• World Heritage and Tangible Cultural Heritage
• Intangible Cultural Heritage
• Museums and Collections
• Film, Audiovisual and Media
• Performing Arts
• Visual Arts
• Design
• Publishing, Literature and Languages
• Creative Cities
• UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation
