HeForShe Arts Week Bangkok

Timed with International Women’s Day and synchronized with other similar events in main capitals of the World - London, New York, Mexico, Panama, Paris, Reykjavik, Sao Paulo - the week-long event#HeForShe #ArtsWeekBangkok takes place from 8th to 15th March 2017 in Bangkok, Thailand. The event is organised by UN Women and aims to raise public awareness - thought arts and culture - of the multiple forms of gender inequality women continue to face around the world, and to mobilize broad support for shifting culture to a more gender equal society, where the participation of men and boys as agents of change is crucial. There will be a number of initiatives related to arts and culture that will bring gender equality to the forefront of the public sphere. Different featuring speakers that embody the vision of #UNWomen and the spirit of HeForShe will participate of these events in the heart of the city, and inspire the community to shift culture positively. A 4-day film festival will be celebrated in Sfw Cinema @ Central World, a number of exhibits, screenings, panels discussions and performances will be showcased in Bacc หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร and Chulalongkorn University.
