European film in Cambodia
In the month of May 2026, the Spanish Film Festival and Cannes à Phnom Penh will take place in Cambodia.
From 7 to 9 May, Institut français du Cambodge and the Embassy of Spain in Cambodia, Thailand, Laos and Myanmar invite audience to discover the first Spanish Film Festival in Cambodia: ‘Spanish Cinema: culture, language and diversity’. Four recent films will be shown over three days of cinema, and it is a chance for local audiences to discover contemporary Spanish filmmaking.
Then from 13 to 24 May 2026 there will be Cannes à Phnom Penh for the 6th year. Over 11 days, there will be a selection of 24 films from the Official Cannes 2025 Selection, including timeless classics and animated features as well as picks from Directors' Fortnight. The opening night will feature a Q&A with director French Alice Winocour and her film ‘Couture’.
