dMOTION 2015_webpage banner_756_2 The third edition of d'MOTION International Dance Festival 2015 takes place in Petaling Jaya, near Kuala Lumpur December 14-20. d’MOTION International Dance Festival 2015 is extended to a week-long event featuring an exciting range of dance performances and workshops for individuals seeking to immerse themselves in an intensive contemporary dance experience.

Performances & Workshops

Programme A – International Platform Featuring international gala performances by artists from Japan, Korea, Spain and Taiwan. Date & Time: 16th & 17th Dec (Wed & Thu) 8.30pm Venue: Theatre, DPAC Programme B – Asian Festivals Exchange Featuring collaborative choreography of the striking new wave of Asian artists from Japan, Korea, China, Singapore and Malaysia that is hosted by DPAC in Malaysia and M1 CONTACT Festival in Singapore. Date & Time: 18th Dec (Fri) 8.30pm / 19th Dec (Sat) 3.00pm Venue: Black Box, DPAC Programme C – T.H.E Dance Company Premiere – A Triple Bill Featuring a reworked piece "Pellucid" by T.H.E’s Artistic Director Kuik Swee Boon and two newly commissioned creations by a spectacular choreographer, Spain's Iratxe Ansa and an audacious choreographer, Indonesia's Jecko Siompo. Date & Time: 19th Dec (Sat) 8.30pm / 20th Dec (Sun) 3.00pm Venue: Theatre, DPAC Workshops Up to 20 master and technique classes conducted by international and local artists. CAPTURE THE MOTION in Dance Photography Exhibition & Dance Video Screening

Dance In Motion Photography Collection 2015 Captures the motion of dance with only your eyes and the lens. An extensive range of exhibition-ready works and photographs dedicated to the art of dance from established and emerging photographers will be displayed from 1st December 2015 to 30th June 2016. Date: 1st Dec 2015 - 30th Jun 2016 FREE Admission d'MOTION Dance Video Screening The screening aims to open doors for audiences to expose themselves to yet another possibility of dance and to provide a platform for video buffs and dance lovers to create and present their own works.
