Call for Proposals - Re:Imagine India | UK-India

ReImagine India - Arts Council England logo Re:Imagine India is a joint project between Arts Council England and the British Council, supporting artistic exchange and collaboration between artists, arts organisations and museums in India and England. The purpose of Re:Imagine India is to create new work and to build sustainable networks and partnerships between artists and cultural leaders in both countries, as well as to develop an intercultural dialogue and strengthened cultural relations based on this exchange of ideas, knowledge, work and artistic practice. Re:Imagine India aims to support arts activity which is taking place in England and in India, coming out of a process of cultural exchange and creative collaboration between arts and cultural organisations in England and in India. The work will build skills and leave a legacy in contributing to the resilience of the organisations involved and the development of new markets and business models. It will also benefit audiences in England. Grants will be awarded for both development and delivery of projects across two funding rounds. Arts Council England expects that project activity will peak during 2017, with the 70th anniversary of India’s independence. The application process is open to arts organisations, either singly or in partnership or consortia agreements. There is a total of £1.5 million available through this fund. The fund will be open for two years: one round opening for applications in January 2015 and one round in 2016. The budgets will be allocated equally across both rounds. The deadline for the first round of applications is 12 March 2015. For additional information, please visit http://www.artscouncil.org.uk/funding/apply-funding/apply-for-funding/reimagine-india/
