Asia On The Edge 2011 Festival
The 2011 edition of Asia On The Edge (AOTE) will feature arts and cultural practitioners from Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines:
- The GK TaPA Choir is a development foundation that helps street children and youths who live in impoverished neighborhoods of Manila.
- Agus Ongge is renowned for its bark art, a distinctive form of culture from West Papua.
- The Siong Leng Musical Association is a group dedicated to revitalizing the historic tradition of Nanyin in contemporary society.
AOTE is a catalyst for the development of new content from creative communities in Asia. It also serves as a platform for the promotion of Asian culture and heritage in the region and beyond. 100 creative entrepreneurs coming from Japan to Singapore as well as 5 Asian leaders will gather to generate new ideas during the event.
