Rooted in Practice: Exploring New Zealand's Creative Ecosystem

Rooted in Practice: A Mapping of Aotearoa New Zealand's Creative Ecosystem commissioned by ASEF culture360 and written by Rosabel Tan, New Zealand cultural producer, programmer and researcher, explores the rich histories and policies of Aotearoa and its cultural and creative industries.

This mapping research report aims to help professionals in the sector better understand the cultural landscape in Aotearoa. It offers a snapshot of the current state of the arts and cultural sector in Aotearoa New Zealand - highlighting challenges, local and regional contexts that continue to shape the arts ecosystem.

In addition, the report also identifies opportunities and areas of possible collaboration for those in Asia and Europe, which will hopefully enable international practitioners and professionals to start and continue engaging with and in Aotearoa.
