How can cultural interventions make public health policies more engaging, and therefore more impactful? In this podcast episode, Associate Professor Chanintorn Pensute of Chiang Mai University summarises the creative ways in which the ThaiHealth Promotion Board engaged culture as a tool for the promotion and adoption of public health policies. Recognising the key role of culture in shaping social behaviours, the ThaiHealth Promotion board carried out several initiatives, both in-person and on-screens, to create a sustained shift in mindsets towards public health issues.

Chanintorn Pensute is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Political Science and Public Administration, Chiang Mai University, where she also serves as Deputy Dean for Student Development and International Relations. Her research focuses on electoral politics, citizenship education, and the intersection of media, technology, and politics, including AI governance.
