The Nipkow Programm is a programme designed to assist film and television professionals in expanding their knowledge, experience and contacts by providing grant-financed training through internships with film and media institutions, practical professional counselling and courses.

Since its inception, the programme has been involved in the realisation of countless feature films, documentary films, shorts, and animation productions, be they digital or celluloid. Most of them have been international award-winners.

The Nipkow Programm awards grants for 1-4 months (with occasional extensions) (1,500 Euros monthly).  Nipkow fellowship-holders work in the following fields - financing, production, marketing, sales and distribution, scriptwriting, camera, sound, production design, new technologies and animation.
