Gubuak Kopi Community

The Institute for the Development of Arts and Media Knowledge: Gubuak Kopi, or better known as the Gubuak Kopi Community, a non-profit cultural organisation based in Solok, was founded in 2011. 

The group focuses on research and development of art and media knowledge in the local city of Solok, West Sumatra. Gubuak Kopi produces and distributes media literacy knowledge through creative activities, organises collaborations between professionals (artists, writers, and researchers) and residents by responding to local environmental and cultural issues, develops alternative media and archiving systems, and builds space for youth capacity development.
