British Council Japan

The British Council is the United Kingdom's international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations. They build engagement and trust for the UK through the exchange of knowledge and ideas between people worldwide. They offer job opportunities and scholarships to students and professionals in various fields to encourage an intercultural dialogue.

The British Council in Tokyo was established in 1953. The British Council promotes innovative and diverse aspects of the UK arts including visual arts, architecture, design, dance, drama, music, film and literature. It provides opportunities for people in Japan and the UK to share creativity and inspire each other. Every year they connect with thousands of professionals and policy makers and millions of young people in Japan through our cultural programmes.
