International open call for entries for public art in connection with the construction of a new Center for Children and Youth at Haukeland University Hospital in Bergen, Norway. Pre-qualification proposals invited, particularly in fields of light-based artworks and electronic media interactive artworks.

In connection with the construction of a new Center for Children and Youth at Haukeland University Hospital in Bergen, Norway, the Art Committee invites artists to submit pre-qualification proposals. The purpose of the pre-qualification process is to identify candidates for two closed competitions.

Garden areas:
For the outdoor areas, we are seeking light-based artworks. The total project budget is NOK 3.5 million.

Entrance area:
For this area, we are particularly interested in interactive artworks in electronic media. The total project budget is NOK 1.75 million.

INTERNATIONAL CALL FOR ENTRIES FOR JULY 22 MEMORIAL SITES


In commemoration of the terror attacks of July 22, 2011, the Norwegian Government is to establish two national public art memorial sites – one in Hole and one in Oslo. As a first step in planning the memorials, artists, architects and interdisciplinary collaborative teams from around the world are invited to participate in an open call for prequalification entries which will end on September 1, 2013. The top five words that most people would like to see reflected in the July 22 memorial sites are solidarity, sorrow, love, reflection and peace.
