Spain | Maldito Videopoetry Festival 2024

Maldito Festival de Videopoesía is calling for applications of videopoems for its 2024 edition, to be held on 15 November 2024 at the Teatro Circo in Albacete and on the online platform FILMIN. 

Maldito Festival seeks to vindicate video poetry as an art that connects people, transmits feelings and stimulates different ways to see the world. It is also a tiny contribution of enormous people to empower visual art, stopping it from being marginal.

The festival is organised by non-profit Association Cultural Maldito, formed by a small team of professionals from the film industry, poetry and culture in general.

Videopoems must have the following: 

• Maximum duration of 5 minutes, including credits
• Subtitles in Spanish (if the original language is not Spanish)

Prizes

The jury will choose the three winning videopoems to which the following cash prizes will be awarded: 1st PRIZE: 300 EUR | 2nd PRIZE: 200 EUR | 3rd PRIZE: 100 EUR

The audience attending the event on 15 November 2024 at the Teatro Circo (Albacete), will decide with their vote the Special Audience Award which will be announced on 1 November and which will be awarded a cash prize of 150 EUR.
