International open call for proposals for SIGNAL, the Light Festival taking place in Prague, Czech Republic 15-18 October 2015. The organisers are interested in both outdoor and indoor light installations, including interactive projects.

As a new feature, Signal is inviting also spherical/dome projection proposals. For 2015, they have created budgetary categories so that you can choose from 4 different scales.

SIGNAL | Prague Light Festival expects over 500,000 visitors in its 3rd edition. It is the most-attended cultural event in the Czech Republic. Join us to transform city centre of Prague in four evenings into a magical open-air gallery with over 25 installations and video mapping projects.

The organisers are inviting proposals that are of high artistic quality and preferably of cutting-edge technological excellence. You can submit well-developed concepts or already existing artworks. In 2015 we are newly inviting also proposals for hands-on workshops and conference panels that will extend the festival with SIGNAL Future Forum.

In 2014 Signal received over 450 proposals from 57 countries. The evaluation was a very stimulating but also time-consuming process. In 2015, an administrative fee of 15 EUR, excl. VAT, will cover the evaluation. We trust this will motivate certain level of re-consideration whether the character of the proposal really matches the festival profile.
