Myanmar - British Council Head of Arts and Partnership job
The British Council invites applications for the job of Head of Arts and Partnership, based in Yangon, to develop its arts and society work in Myanmar. Applicants must have an understanding and experience of working in arts and culture, be native/bilingual speakers of Burmese and professionally proficient in English, as well as being able to develop strategic partnerships.

As the Head of Arts and Partnership, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for British Council arts and partnership work in Burma, building on existing and new programme and partnerships, including:
- Designing and delivering a strategy which widens and deepens the level of cultural collaboration between Burma and the UK, contributing to global arts outcomes and regional priorities
- Increasing the profile and impact of the British Council in Burma through the development of a strong arts and culture & development programme, supported by effective communication and through working in close collaboration with other SBUs and collaboration with UK stakeholders notably the British High Commission in Burma and other representatives of the UK
- Seek out new opportunities to grow our work through partnerships with the private sector, government, philanthropic foundations and other sectors
To be successful, you will possess Education to degree level or above (ideally in arts or arts management) and bring along International cultural relations experience, ideally including significant experience working in arts in an international context; and/or creative producing, programming or management in the arts sector in Burma. You should have a proven track record in Partnership and programme development experience, developing programmes through co-funding and income generating partnerships. Experience in successful delivery of projects to agreed financial and non-financial targets is essential.
