culture360 Media Partner of FAAMAI | 360 Mapping Competition

culture360 is delighted to support as media partner the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts Multidisciplinary Art Innovation Center (FAAMAI). FAAMAI is a creative research project initiated by the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Chulalongkorn University.  Funded by the Chulalongkorn University Second Century Fund (C2F), the innovation centre aims to provide digital art facilities and equipment for students, researchers, artists, and the general public in order to develop a Digital Arts Hub.  The idea is to develop a new generation of local skilled artists and create a centre for digital entertainment. FAAMAI facilities are located next to the Chula Centenary Park, in the Samyan district. The FAAMAI futuristic dome is for showcasing exhibitions and events, while the studio space is equipped with tools for digital arts production.

To introduce the digital arts hub to the general public and encourage interest in digital arts FAAMAI has launched the FAAMAI 360 Mapping Competition. Students, media artists and teams under the age of 25 can enter the competition. Under the theme of 'New World' contestants can show their immersive media and interactive artworks in the unique setting of Southeast Asia's biggest geodesic dome, which offers 360 degree projections, inside and outside the dome.
