France and China celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations in 2014 with France-Chine 50 Year, presenting a cultural agenda and an evolving programme of events in the two countries.

Current highlights on the 2014 agenda include:

• De la Chine aux Arts Décoratifs | applied arts exhibition at the musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris (13 February - 29 June)


• Shanghai Ballet | performing in Paris 13-20 March


• China as Guest of Honour | Art Paris Art Fair 27-30 March


• 1st Round Table of Mayors from France and China | 13 June in Lille


• Light Festival | end of May 2014 in Xi'an and December 5-8 in Lyon


• Month of Science and Culture | April 25 - May 25 in Shanghai


• Exhibition of masterpieces from French museums | Beijing, as part of Croisements Festival, opens 8 April

and commemorative postal stamps will be issued in both countries.
