The 42nd edition of the International Film Festival Rotterdam takes place from Wednesday 23 January till Sunday 3 February 2013! International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), one of the world's largest industry and audience driven events will feature a high quality line-up of fiction and documentary feature films, shorts films and media art. The festival’s Tiger Awards Competitions, Bright Future and Spectrum sections will screen recent works, among which many world premières. In its Signals section, IFFR will present retrospectives and themed programs. Additionally, IFFR actively supports new and adventurous filmmaking talent through its co-production market CineMart, its Hubert Bals Fund, Rotterdam Lab and Industry Office activities which will be the parallel events during the 12 day event. The 42nd edition of International Film Festival Rotterdam opens in Pathé 1 with The Master (on 70mm!) by Paul Thomas Anderson followed by the opening party in de Doelen. The international premiere of Stoker will close IFFR 2013 on Saturday 2 February. The IFFR main screening venues are 'de Doelen' (also the location of CineMart, Delegates & Press Centre and Film Office), Pathé Schouwburgplein multiplex, Cinerama, LantarenVenster, Oude Luxor and Rotterdamse Schouwburg.
