The Prudential Eye Awards celebrate and support emerging artistic talent across greater Asia. The inaugural awards were launched to great fanfare in Singapore in January during Singapore Art Week. Exhibitions of award-winners will follow in Kuala Lumpur and London.

Over 500 artists in 30 countries were nominated by experts around the world. A final shortlist of 20 emerging artists from a diverse variety of cultures was selected by a panel of expert judges. Each shortlisted artist featured in a prominent exhibition and the winners were announced at a high profile awards ceremony, both held at Suntec City, Singapore.

Curators, gallery Directors, established and young artists were also recognised through a number of other significant awards.

The Prudential Eye Awards organisers believe that Asian artists should benefit from greater opportunities for their work to reach new audiences and receive recognition at an international level. The Prudential Eye Awards were founded by the Global Eye Programme, a partnership between Parallel Contemporary Art and the Saatchi Gallery.
