Borak Arts Series 5th performing arts conference takes place at MAPKL Publika, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 14-15 October. After the yearly successes the conference has had thanks to the relevant themes, thought-provoking topics, engaging speakers and wonderful partners, this year’s conference embraces the theme of “Power, Education, Arts”.  Since 2013 it has welcomed 760 delegates from 20 countries, 17 international festival directors, 32 international and local funding stakeholders. Download Borak Arts Series 2017 programme 14092017 Borak Arts Series has become a platform that creates opportunities and builds capacity through the congregation of local and international cultural leaders, artists, presenters, producers, intermediaries, funders, academics and students. The conference aims to promote accessibility of information, tools and ideas on how to bring works or discussions forward, encourage cultural mobility and create alliances that would assist in building a robust performing arts ecosystem via the various panel discussions, networking sessions, one on one meetings with international programmers, pitchpad platform, workshop sessions amongst others. A number of Southeast Asian artists including Malaysians have performed beyond their places of origin through the networking opportunities offered at Borak Arts Series. In 2018 and 2019, Borak Arts Series will travel outside Malaysia. MyPAA welcomes partners from international cities to host the 6th and 7th Borak Arts Series in 2018 and 2019.
