Amsterdam | Creative Skills Week 2024

Creative Skills Week 2024, 16 – 20 September 2024 in Amsterdam, gathers third-level educators, university leaders, vocational education and training (VET) providers, industry partners, SME’s and policymakers dedicated to the future of the Cultural and Creative Sector Industries (CCSI).

Working in the cultural and creative ecosystem, those in the CCSI often lack the time to come together and think about the future of the sector, particularly how to strengthen the organisations and businesses within it. Creative Skills Week 2024 an opportunity to shape and steer the discussion around skills for the somewhat fragmented sector. To achieve this, all stakeholders need to be involved to help address skills gaps, identify opportunities for upskilling, and start shaping strategic skills for future creatives.

The Main Programme (18 – 19 September) features panel sessions, workshops, discussions, inspirational speakers, experimental learning activities, and micro-credential testing labs. Participants can meet with members of the Creative Pact for Skills, powered by SACCORD, and take workshops on the transversal skills clusters developed by the partners of the sector’s Blueprint Project, CYANOTYPES.

The Satellite Programme, on 16, 17, and 20 September in Amsterdam (and Rotterdam on 16 September), features a series of events presented by sector/partner organisations. Participants can explore the city as they attend workshops on creative skills for innovation, societal transformation, learning methodologies and much more.

Creative Skills Week is powered by SACCORD, in association with CYANOTYPES, and hosted by Conservatorium of Amsterdam and the Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK).
