10 films from 10 countries have been selected by the European Film Academy to be shown during the first edition of the EU Short Film Festival in Hong Kong. The films will be shown in 4 venues from 7th to 12th October 2013. Subsequently, the festival will travel to Macao from 25th to 2nd November 2013.
In cooperation with the Consulates-General of the EU member states, and the support of the European Film Academy, the EU Short Film Festival is organized for the first time in Hong Kong and Macao.
Curated by the European Film Academy, the awarding-winning productions in the European Union Short Film Festival 2013 offer a glimpse of human nature and the diversity of European cinema. The 10 films screened in the Festival have all won awards in various European film and short film festivals. Directors of the films come from 10 European countries: Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Portugal, Romania and the United Kingdom.
All the screenings are free for the public. Chinese and English subtitles will be provided.
