Liberation Film Studio

Liberation Film Studios is one of three state-owned film companies in Vietnam . Originally founded in 1963, it operated at the front during the American War, producing revolutionary newsreels and propaganda films to be shown in southern villages controlled by the National Liberation Front. It now comprises three departments – Feature Films, Documentary Films and Cartoon Films. It has also participated in several international co-productions, including Trần Anh Hùng’s Cyclo and most recently Philip Noyce's remake of The Quiet American.
